For today's instalment of Handmade Dorset we return to Walford Mill Crafts to another of their makers in residence. Jen Goodwin is an embroider who trained at the Royal College of embroidery.
The quality of Jen's work speaks for itself. When I visited she was working on an embroidery of a long-tailed tit using a silk shading technique using several threads freehand to recreate a naturalistic image. An incredible level of skill that I can't really fathom - the finished piece is on Jen's website here.
If you're a craftsman or woman based in Dorset and would like to be involved in this project then I'd love to hear from you!
